Java Developer – Prime Brokerage

Summary
eClerx Markets is searching for a talented and motivated Scala/Java developer to join our growing team and an exciting opportunity to perform a significant technology environment renovation, building a new consolidated system for Trade Capture and Post‑trade processing across all types of Securities Finance Transactions (Repo, Sec Lending, Buy sell backs etc). This strategic system will replace multiple disparate legacy systems that exist today. In this role, you will contribute as part of a development squad within a global fleet towards the following key goals. The new system will be implemented using an MS common technical platform, and integrated with other pre‑existing components that exist within the broader ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- To contribute as part of a development squad within a global fleet
- To deliver foundational build of new system and operational data store
- To model and migrate Securities Financing transactions into the new system
- To create mission‑critical GUI that traders rely on to book or view Securities Financing transactions
- To deliver core functionality related to post‑trade processing for Securities Financing transactions, including GUIs required by middle‑office staff
Eligibility Requirements
- Strong programming experience in Scala and/or Java
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Understanding of Agile and DevOps practices, including automated testing and tooling
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Team‑oriented, dependable, and able to meet deadlines
- Preferred Skills
- Practical understanding of Generative AI and its application in accelerating SDLC tasks
- Experience with functional programming
- Knowledge of Python
- Exposure to Securities Finance or Securities Lending (preferred but not mandatory)
