FP&A Systems Analyst

• Hybrid working (4 days in the office, 1 day from home)

Cobalt are excited to be supporting a listed real estate business to hire a commercially minded Finance Systems Analyst to join its finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, improving processes and gaining real exposure to senior stakeholders and business decision making.

You will play a key part in delivering insightful financial reporting and supporting commercial decisions across the business. Working closely with both finance and operational teams, you will help drive performance through accurate analysis, improved systems and high quality reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance planning tools and support ongoing system improvements
• Build and maintain data flows between systems using SQL and Python
• Streamline processes to improve efficiency and data quality across finance
• Support forecasting activities including P&L, cashflow and balance sheet consolidation
• Partner with stakeholders to provide analysis and explain variances
• Contribute to board level reporting and presentation materials
• Support ad hoc projects across the FP&A and wider finance team

Qualifications

• Full accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Advanced Excel capability including Power Query and ideally VBA
• Understanding of financial statements and forecasting
• Experience working with large data sets and improving processes
• Exposure to ERP systems or planning tools such as Anaplan is beneficial
• Knowledge of SQL or Python, or a strong desire to develop these skills
