Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated pharmacist to join the pharmacy team at Lorn & Islands Hospital. This post will require an enthusiastic, forward-thinking individual with excellent communication and time management skills to ensure the provision of an effective, safe and patient-centred approach to delivering pharmaceutical care. The successful candidate will have experience in a number of clinical areas including surgical, medical, HDU and, ideally, Oncology & Haematology. The ability to work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team is essential.

A postgraduate qualification or experience at Clinical Diploma or Masters level and independent prescribing qualification is expected, plus at least 5 years relevant experience.

This post provides an excellent opportunity to further develop leadership skills within a supportive environment and to contribute to multidisciplinary improvement work around the cost-effective and safe use of medicines.

Additional Information For Candidates

  • Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro‑rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
