Responsibilities
The global Communications team is the voice of the company while being the guardian of the company's reputation. The team is responsible for telling TikTok's story, managing the company reputation, engaging in meaningful conversation, and building positive sentiment for the company. Though our reach is global, our strength lies in leaning into local understanding, celebrating, and building with the communities around us. On a daily basis, the team serves as a strategic partner for all functions in advancing business objectives.
We’re looking for an experienced Communications professional to lead TikTok’s Comms across the Benelux and Nordics, as part of our Global Brand & Comms team. This is a full‑time role based in London, United Kingdom. In this role, you’ll shape our reputation in the Benelux and Nordic markets, and make sure our story is easy to understand and compelling. You’ll drive proactive storytelling, manage issues with care, and build strong relationships with media, creators, customers, and the public.
You’ll partner closely with regional and global teams to deliver high‑impact strategies and campaigns that show TikTok’s cultural relevance, support our growing community, and highlight our contribution to the economy. Day to day, you’ll guide media strategy, navigate fast news cycles, and serve as a trusted partner to cross‑functional teams.

- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy in alignment with regional and global comms and local business priorities
- Lead media relations, including proactive campaigns, press opportunities, and issues management, ensuring messaging is consistent, impactful and resonates with our audience
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, creators, and industry stakeholders
- Partner with Trust and Safety, Policy, Marketing, and content teams to ensure consistent and impactful messaging
- Manage the local speaker bureau
- Train and advise spokespeople
- Act as a spokesperson as needed
- Manage external PR agency
- Monitor and measure the impact of communications
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven track record of managing communications for a high‑profile consumer‑facing brand
- Extensive experience building and executing comms strategies and programmes
- Strong network of media contacts across national, business, technology, and lifestyle outlets
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience in issues management and crisis communications
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage agencies
- Fluency in at least one of the following languages is required: Swedish or Dutch, to support business operations across the Northern Europe and Benelux markets, where these languages are used for day‑to‑day communication with clients, partners, and stakeholders
