Senior Property Manager

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Property Manager to join the Estates and Facilities Directorate at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Reporting directly to the Deputy Director – Estate Management and Assurance, you will provide expert technical support and advice on all aspects of property management services to ensure the Trust estate is managed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist expertise in the development, implementation, and delivery of the Trust Estate Strategy and its associated strategic objectives, operational policies, and procedures.
• Lead a broad range of property development, transactions, and asset management, including acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold interests, landlord and tenant matters, and Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contract management.
• Promote new initiatives for the effective management of technical property services.
• Ensure the Trust fulfills statutory and regulatory requirements related to property transactions, occupations, landlord and tenant lease obligations, and freehold title matters.
• Consult effectively with Legal Advisors and other professional consultants, and negotiate complex planning, development, landlord/tenant, and other property‑related contracts.
• Deliver the Trust’s property‑related strategic objectives and oversee the implementation of operational policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree level education or equivalent experience in a property‑related discipline.
• Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) required.
• Proven knowledge, qualifications, and experience managing a large and complex property portfolio.
• Strong analytical and interpretive skills for highly complex property information.
• Experience negotiating and delivering complex planning and development, landlord and tenant, and other property contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to provide assurance of statutory and regulatory compliance in property matters.
