MPI are looking for PERMANENT Pump Service Engineers for our client based in London.

Location: Ideally London, but will consider Kent, Surrey, Southampton, Reading, Oxford etc.

Hours: Typically, start at 8 and finish at 4:30; however this is work dependent and anything over 9 hours a day is paid at overtime rates.

Line Manager: Service Manager

About the Role

In your role as Service & Repairs Engineer you will provide all aspects of on‑site servicing, repairs and installation works covering domestic and commercial contracts throughout the UK. On‑call duty and standby will be required on a rotary basis to allow for 24/7 service cover.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and adhere to all aspects of Health and Safety, Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Maintaining accurate data using a mobile device (customer, asset & contract information)
  • Carrying out site surveys and providing relevant information to the office
  • Actively be aware of opportunities to promote Client's Services
  • Perform Servicing and Commissioning of pumps and pressurised systems
  • Perform fault finding and repairs of pumps and pressurised systems
  • Assist with on‑site installation of pumps and pressurised systems
  • Complete and submit all required paperwork
  • Communicate with the customer to ensure satisfaction and implement any necessary
  • Provide accurate information to the relevant department or Manager
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues

Essential qualifications, experience and skills required

  • Knowledge of pumps and pressurised systems
  • Servicing and Commissioning of pumps and pressurised systems
  • Fault finding and minor repairs of pumps and pressurised systems
  • UK Driving Licence
  • Organised and self‑motivated
  • Attention to detail
  • Customer focused
  • A pleasant and friendly 'can do' attitude
  • Health and Safety training required for the role
  • Good time keeping
  • Be flexible and adaptable

Knowledge and skills to develop

  • Advanced fault finding and repairs
  • Further Health and Safety training required for the role
