Service Engineer – Injection Moulding Machines

Wellingborough based company. Permanent role. Monday to Friday, working with UK and Overseas travel.

£40k – £46k net – dependent on experience. Our client supplies new and refurbished Injection Moulding Machines, with full range of associated ancillary equipment and parts. The successful candidate will join the engineering team and be responsible for in‑house refurbishment, as well as on‑site installation, commissioning, and servicing at customer locations. Regular travel throughout the UK and Ireland, with occasional overseas travel, including visits to China.

Day-to-day duties

• Commissioning and servicing of new and refurbished Injection Moulding Machines across the UK and Ireland.
• Fault finding, diagnosis and repair of machinery.
• Commissioning of Injection Moulding Machines and beam robots (full robot training will be provided).
• Performing in‑house refurbishment of used Injection Moulding Machines.
• Providing technical support to customers, both on‑site and remotely.

Qualifications and skills

• UK resident within a commutable distance of Wellingborough with right to work documentation; sponsorship not offered.
• Understanding of Injection or Blow Moulding Machines.
• Experience of servicing, repairing and commissioning Injection or Blow Moulding Machines (experience with other machinery types considered).
• General engineering qualification: NVQ or City & Guilds.
• Strong fault‑finding, mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Willingness to travel within the UK, Ireland and China.
• Professional, customer‑focused approach.
