Associate Energy & Sustainability Engineer – Up to £75,000 plus bonus and benefits – Oxford

A highly regarded real estate, building services, construction and environmental engineering consultancy are seeking an Associate Energy & Sustainability Engineer within their Oxford office to lead a talented and experienced team delivering a wide range of design, consultancy, and certification assessment projects across various sectors and building types within the built environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a strong knowledge of sustainability and wider environmental, social and governance issues within the built environment to join an industry leader in a position which is integral to providing net zero pathway advice and delivering major, sustainable engineering projects across the public and private sector.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies for Net Zero Carbon, building certification, health and well-being
  • Oversee environmental assessments of buildings using BREEAM, LEED & WELL
  • Provide regular sustainable engineering design advice to clients
  • Produce data analysis, client presentations and written reports to a high standard
  • Support a diverse project portfolio, win new work, and build client relationships
  • Follow best practice, and alleviate workloads from team members and colleagues
  • Deliver training materials, client engagement and communications.

Requirements

  • Be a technical expert of the subject matter with excellent client management skills
  • A science, engineering, building sustainability or energy related degree
  • Passionate about sustainability and net zero with understanding of preparing climate action plans or net zero strategies
  • Understanding of the UK construction sector and recent net zero policies and regulations
  • Project management skills, understanding of budgets, timelines, and scope of works
  • Ability to undertake calculations and structure ideas in a clear and professional manner
  • Experience on carbon emission calculations, operational, embodied, and whole life
  • Knowledge of compiling energy use and emissions data
  • Experience with BREEAM/LEED and WELL
  • User of Revit / CAD and construction design software packages
