Employment Solicitor - Manchester
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor to join a highly regarded and growing Employment team based in Manchester. The role offers exposure to high-quality work, a diverse client base, and the chance to develop your career within a collaborative and ambitious team.
- Title: Associate / Senior Associate
- Salary: £60,000 - £75,000
- Location: Manchester ( hybrid)
- Experience: 1-6 PQE (Associate / Senior Associate)

You will handle a varied and interesting caseload, working closely with Partners and colleagues on both advisory and contentious matters. Typical work will include:
- Advising employers on the full range of respondent employment law issues, including disciplinaries, grievances, discrimination, redundancy and restructuring
- Acting on Employment Tribunal matters, including advocacy, mediations and settlement negotiations
- Drafting and advising on contracts of employment, policies, staff handbooks and settlement agreements
- Supporting corporate transactions, TUPE transfers, outsourcing arrangements and restructurings
- Managing your own caseload efficiently while contributing to the wider team's success
- Building strong client relationships and delivering practical, commercial advice
- Participating in business development, networking and client training initiatives
Strong employment law experience required
You will be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales with experience in employment law, likely to be within the 1-6 years' PQE range (although candidates outside this range will be considered). You will also demonstrate:
- Strong technical knowledge of employment law with a practical, commercial approach
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- The confidence to manage client relationships and take ownership of matters
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- An interest in business development and contributing to the growth of the practice
