Information Manager – Main Civils

Location: Ipswich/Hybrid

Join the exciting journey of one of the UK’s largest nuclear projects at Sizewell C! The Civil Works Alliance (CWA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced information manager to support the successful delivery of the Main Civils scope on the Sizewell C Project. CWA, appointed by the Sizewell C client, brings together three leading delivery contractors — Laing O’Rourke, Bouygues, and Balfour Beatty — to deliver the civils scope including Enabling Earthworks, Main Civil Works, and Marine and Tunnelling.

We are seeking a Information Manager to lead and influence how information is managed across a complex construction environment. The Information Manager will oversee the project’s document management systems, define and embed information standards, and lead a dedicated team to ensure information is accurate, accessible and controlled throughout the project lifecycle. Acting as a trusted partner to delivery teams, digital engineering, procurement and the client, the role plays a critical part in driving collaboration, supporting digital transformation and enabling effective decision‑making on a nationally significant programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage an Information Management team, ensuring high‑quality document control and information services across the project
  • Develop, agree and communicate project Information Standards, Methods and Procedures in collaboration with Digital Engineering colleagues
  • Oversee the management of the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), typically Asite
  • Take a security‑minded approach to data, ensuring appropriate access controls and compliance
  • Coordinate project reporting, including client and system‑generated reports
  • Deliver training on information management systems and processes to project teams
  • Manage quality procedures for all administrative and document control activities
  • Support digital ways of working, including mobile quality systems and process digitisation
  • Facilitate digital handover and production of the Digital Health & Safety File
  • Support SharePoint and Microsoft Teams as tools for work‑in‑progress information
  • Manage archiving activities throughout the project lifecycle and support e‑tendering processes for procurement teams

What skills & experience are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in Information Management on large‑scale infrastructure or complex construction projects
  • Strong working knowledge of PAS 1192 / ISO 19650 and quality management systems
  • Expertise in collaboration and EDMS platforms, ideally Asite
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing information management or document control teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Highly organised, analytical and able to work effectively under pressure and to programme deadlines
  • Comfortable working both on‑site and remotely within a fast‑paced project environment
  • Desirable experience includes Power BI, digital dashboards, presentation and facilitation skills, and mobile quality systems such as Field View
