Our client is currently undertaking a Consolidation and Planning system selection initiative, replacing Excel-based processes and legacy tools with a modern CPM/EPM solution. They are seeking an experienced CPM Implementation Lead to support both the tool selection phase and subsequent implementation and rollout.
This is a key role acting as the bridge between Finance and IT, combining functional expertise with hands‑on delivery capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the CPM system selection process, including requirements gathering, vendor evaluation, and solution design
- Work closely with Finance stakeholders to define planning, forecasting, and consolidation requirements
- Translate business requirements into technical and functional specifications
- Act as the interface between Finance and IT, ensuring alignment across stakeholders
- Support implementation and configuration of the selected CPM solution
- Deliver hands‑on build activities, including data models, integrations, and reporting
- Oversee data migration, testing (UAT), and deployment
- Provide guidance on best practice CPM processes and architecture
- Support training, documentation, and post‑go‑live optimisation
Key Requirements
- Strong understanding of financial consolidation, FP&A, budgeting and forecasting processes
- Experience supporting or leading system selection / RFP processes
- Ability to operate in a hybrid functional + technical role
- Hands‑on experience with data modelling, integrations, and reporting
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with senior Finance leaders
- Experience working in global or multi‑entity environments preferred
- Comfortable working in Agile or project‑based delivery environments
- Background in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
- Experience integrating with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, SunSystems)
- Prior experience acting as a Solution Lead or Architect
