Senior Business Development Manager – I&C Energy / Sustainability

£59,000–£67,000 + Uncapped Commission (up to 4% of margin)

Remote-first | Weekly Northern office visit | UK & European travel

We are supporting a major player in the I&C energy and sustainability space as they build out a new‑business‑focused team. After years of strong account management performance, they’re now investing heavily in growth, sustainability‑led solutions, and high‑value I&C supply contracts, and they’re hiring two Senior BDMs to help drive that shift.

If you’re a hunter who knows how to open doors, build senior relationships, and navigate complex energy or sustainability‑led propositions, this is a genuinely exciting opportunity.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Owning a new business for large I&C customers (10 GWh to 100+ GWh portfolios).
  • Building and converting a long‑term pipeline across logistics, manufacturing, utilities, and other high‑energy sectors.
  • Engaging at the C‑suite and Director level on sustainability and decarbonisation strategy.
  • Working closely with technical teams to shape flexible supply, green solutions, and long‑term commercial partnerships.
  • Travelling across the UK and occasionally Europe for customer meetings and industry events.

What They’re Looking For

  • Strong new business track record in energy, sustainability, PPAs, export, or related sectors.
  • Experience selling into senior stakeholders, ideally C‑suite or one level below.
  • Someone who instinctively prospects, builds relationships, and opens large deals over long sales cycles.
  • Ability to bring an existing network or warm relationships that can be developed over 12–18 months.
  • Confident operating in a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.
