Corporate Solicitor

A well-established UK law firm is looking to recruit a Corporate & Commercial Solicitor (3–5 PQE) to join its dynamic team in Cardiff.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer seeking a broad role with real responsibility, high-quality work, and clear progression prospects.

The Opportunity

You’ll join a collaborative team working across a wide mix of corporate and commercial matters, with the chance to:

• Lead on smaller transactions
• Support senior lawyers on complex deals
• Build strong client relationships from an early stage

The Role

Corporate:

• Advising on M&A transactions (share and asset sales/purchases)
• Supporting restructures, reorganisations, and joint ventures
• Drafting shareholder agreements, investment agreements, and constitutional documents

Commercial:

• Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts (supply, services, distribution, agency, T&Cs)
• Advising on IP, licensing, confidentiality, and data protection matters
• Providing day-to-day commercial legal support across multiple sectors

Client & Team Exposure:

• Acting as a key point of contact for clients
• Supporting business development initiatives and networking
• Collaborating across teams to deliver seamless client service
• Assisting with supervision of junior team members where appropriate

About You

• England & Wales qualified solicitor (ideally 3–7 years PQE)
• Strong experience in corporate/commercial law, including M&A and contracts
• Confident managing your own matters with appropriate supervision
• Commercially aware with a genuine interest in clients’ businesses
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• Able to build trusted client relationships and deliver practical advice
