About the Opportunity

Bolt Technical are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Back End Software Developer to join their growing engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a business that designs and manufactures advanced camera systems used across multiple sectors. You’ll play a key role in developing scalable backend systems that process and analyse real-world data from IoT devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend software systems in Java or C#
• Build scalable platforms for ingesting and analysing data from ANPR and IoT devices
• Develop RESTful APIs and collaborate with front-end developers
• Ensure software performance, reliability, and maintainability
• Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making
• Integrate customer and internal feedback into software improvements
• Test and validate systems against real-world scenarios

What They’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a similar role in software development
• Strong skills in Java and/or C#
• Experience with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, Ant or .NET
• Experience using Git for version control
• Proven experience building RESTful APIs
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Experience working in Windows and/or Linux environments
• Experience with cameras or IoT systems (desirable)
