Job Description:

LendInvest is the UK’s leading FinTech platform for property finance. Over the past 17 years, we have grown from just our two founders to a team of over 200 working to make property finance simple for everyone.

A workplace culture built around trying new things, getting things done, and having fun while we do it has helped us lend more than £7.5 billion of mortgages, put thousands of new or improved homes into the UK housing market, and successfully launch on the London Stock Exchange. We have big plans to continue growing the business, our products, our technology, and our people.

About your work

Reporting to the People Director, you will partner with key stakeholders across the business to review and understand People Development needs across the business, creating a scalable learning strategy which encompasses both technical skills and leadership development.

This position is ideally suited to an experienced L&D professional who can review and build a learning strategy, take ownership of the full L&D remit and deliver impactful training in both a virtual and face to face setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing a scalable learning strategy that addresses both technical up‑skilling and management / leadership soft‑skilling.
  • Consulting with department heads to identify skill gaps that hinder commercial growth and designing bespoke solutions to bridge them.
  • Managing our LMS to facilitate a learning culture.
  • Developing a robust Leadership Academy focused on developing the next generation of managers in a multi‑site, hybrid working environment.
  • Analysing the design and impact of our Intern/Early Careers programme and making adjustments as required to ensure it is best‑in‑class.
  • Overseeing the end‑to‑end intern experience, supporting Talent Acquisition in initial assessment centres, and supporting People Operations with onboarding.
  • Establishing clear ROI metrics for all L&D spend – measuring tangible behavioural change and business impact.

About you

  • Experience in creating (or recreating) an entire L&D function autonomously.
  • Ideally, experienced specifically within a high‑growth tech or regulated financial environment.
  • Skilled in instructional design and the 70‑20‑10 learning model.
  • A high‑energy facilitator capable of engaging a tech‑savvy, often sceptical, audience.
  • Experienced in coaching managers on how to effectively mentor and manage teams, including entry‑level team members.
  • Able to use performance data to predict future skill requirements.
  • Stays ahead of L&D trends – e.g. AI‑integrated learning.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary + company bonus scheme
  • ️ 25 days holiday (increasing with the length of service)
  • Matched pension contributions up to 4%
  • Regular performance reviews to promote a culture of growth and development
