This joint post comprises a 0.4 WTE role as Consultant Psychiatrist in Psychiatry of Intellectual Disability and a 0.6 WTE role as Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult ADHD.

Main duties of the job

Provide psychiatric input to adults with learning disabilities aged 18+ living in Wirral. Serve as a key member of the Community Learning Disability team at the Millenium Centre, Wallasey.

Conduct assessments of complex cases and support development of multidisciplinary management plans across a variety of community locations.

Access adult Intellectual disability assessment and treatment beds at Eastways and Greenways units, and, where appropriate, Wirral General Psychiatry beds in liaison with consultant colleagues.

Work closely with community health teams, social services, provider services and statutory and voluntary agencies.
