Commercial Real Estate Solicitor

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Commercial Real Estate solicitor with 2–5 years’ PQE to join our busy and friendly property team. You will work closely with experienced partners on a varied caseload spanning general commercial property work and agricultural matters.

You will be based at either of our offices located at Canterbury, Chatham or Whitstable with a hybrid working policy offering a flexible combination of office and home working, after an initial settling in period.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a broad caseload of commercial property matters, including acquisitions, disposals, and landlord and tenant work
• Advising on agricultural and rural property, including farm sales and purchases, agricultural tenancies, and estate management matters
• Supporting on development projects, strategic land, and option agreements
• Drafting and negotiating leases, contracts, and related documentation
• Carrying out title investigations and due diligence
• Building strong relationships with clients, many of whom are long-standing and locally based

The successful candidate will have

• 2–5 years’ PQE with solid experience in commercial real estate
• Experience or a genuine interest in agricultural/rural property work
• Strong technical ability with a practical, client-focused approach
• Comfortable working closely with clients and colleagues
• A team player who is keen to get involved in business development and networking within the local community
