About The Role

The Senior HR Business Partner provides strategic, commercially focused and proactive leadership across reward, compensation, benefits and HR operations.

Day‑day responsibilities include partnering with senior stakeholders on reward and workforce cost decisions, leading the execution of compensation and benefits frameworks, and ensuring effective, compliant and efficient delivery of payroll and core HR operations through the HR Advisor team.

The role primarily partners with senior and middle management to support the organisation in achieving its strategic objectives by ensuring reward and HR operations are competitive, well governed and financially sustainable. The role also supports organisational growth and change by ensuring people practices are commercially sound, legally compliant and scalable across jurisdictions where applicable.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to shape and evolve the organisation’s reward and HR operations strategy in line with business objectives.
  • Lead the design, governance and continuous improvement of compensation, benefits and reward frameworks.
  • Act as the primary point of expertise on reward, advising on pay, incentives, benefits, equity and workforce cost decisions.
  • Lead annual reward cycles, including salary reviews, bonuses and variable pay, ensuring strong governance and delivery.
  • Provide data‑led insight and financial modelling to support strategic decision‑making and reward investment.
  • Ensure robust HR operations governance, compliance and audit readiness across payroll, benefits and employee data.
  • Lead and develop the HR Advisors, setting priorities, building capability and ensuring high‑quality service delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, HR colleagues and external providers to ensure cost‑effective and compliant outcomes.
  • Contribute to wider HR transformation and people initiatives as a senior member of the HR team.

About You

We are looking for someone with the following skillset and attributes:

  • Significant experience in reward, compensation, benefits and HR operations within commercially driven or regulated environments.
  • Advanced Excel capability, including complex formulas, pivot tables and scenario modelling, to support reward analysis, budgeting and decision‑making.
  • Experience producing high‑quality reports and board packs for Executive Committee and Board‑level audiences, with a strong focus on clarity, insight and decision support.
  • Proven ability to operate as a strategic partner to senior and middle management, advising on reward, workforce cost and people risk.
  • Experience operating in an international or multijurisdictional environment, with exposure to differing payroll, tax, benefits or employment law frameworks.
  • Strong end‑to‑end experience of annual reward cycles, including salary reviews, bonuses and variable pay.
  • Solid working knowledge of UK payroll, tax and benefits legislation, with experience ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
  • Experience managing benefits and pension arrangements, including working with external providers and brokers.
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate reward and people data into clear business insight and recommendations.
  • Commercially minded, with experience collaborating with Finance on budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
  • Proven people management capability, with experience leading and developing HR team members and prioritising delivery through others.
  • Confident and credible communicator, able to explain complex reward concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self‑driven, solutions focused and comfortable operating in ambiguous or evolving environments.
