Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Purchasing and Planning Manager to join their team based in Eastbourne. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, driving performance and accountability
- Oversee production planning, purchasing, and scheduling functions
- Ensure on-time delivery targets are met for both customers and suppliers
- Develop and implement scalable processes to support business growth
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Sales teams
- Contribute to strategic decision-making with operational and commercial insight
- Travel to client meetings (occasional)
Skills, Experience, and Requirements
- Minimum 10 years' experience in purchasing and planning within a low volume, high complexity manufacturing environment
- At least 5 years in a leadership or management role
- Strong track record in production planning and procurement
- Excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies
- Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies
- Degree educated or qualified by experience
