Senior Shift Manager
Location: Washington
Salary: £63,600 per year + shift allowance
Hours: 2 shift rotation
Day shift: 6:45 - 15:03
Late shift: 15:00 - 23:18

We are looking for an experienced Senior Shift Manager to join a high-volume, precision manufacturing business in Washington.
This is a senior leadership role, responsible for driving shift performance, developing teams, and translating site strategy into effective day-to-day operations.

What you will be doing:
- Lead Press Shop operations, delivering against quality, cost, delivery, safety and morale (QCDMS) targets
- Take ownership of shift performance and operational output
- Support medium and long-term operational planning
- Coach and develop supervisors and operators, building leadership capability within the team
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and data‑led performance improvements
- Manage shift planning and manpower optimisation
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, HR policies and company standards
- Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve site and business objectives
What you will bring to the team:
You will have:
- Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in Operations Management or a related discipline
- Experience in a supervisory or management role within fast‑paced manufacturing
- Strong understanding of QCDMS and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience managing KPIs and operational performance
- Excellent communication, leadership and decision‑making skills
