As a CFW Auditor and quality assurance officer, you’ll deliver high-quality qualitative audits and wider quality assurance activity within the Child and Family Wellbeing (CFW) service. You’ll identify strengths, highlight risk, and translate learning into practical improvement-supporting teams to develop, embed strong management oversight, and enhance outcomes. You’ll also produce clear reports and present findings to a range of audiences, contributing to themed and multi-agency audit work where required.
Responsibilities
- Completing qualitative audits of practice and outcomes, identifying good practice and areas for development
- Moderating audits to assure quality, consistency and accuracy, providing constructive feedback
- Leading and supporting thematic and multi-agency audit activity as priorities emerge
- Analysing findings, producing insightful reports, and presenting learning to managers and practitioners
- Supporting improvement through action planning, reflective discussions and practice development
- Contributing to and refining audit tools, guidance and training
Qualifications
- A Level 6 qualification in a relevant subject or substantial (minimum 3 years) vocational experience in children’s services
- At least 3 years recent experience supporting children, young people and families
- Experience of quality assurance/audit activity and an ability to evaluate practice against standards and frameworks
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, thresholds and risk, and confidence applying procedures appropriately
- Excellent analysis, report writing and presentation skills (including presenting virtually)
- The ability to provide appropriate challenge and supportive feedback to colleagues at all levels
- Good IT skills (including MS Office/Excel) and confidence using systems to collate and analyse information

- Salary £40,778 – £46,142 per annum
- Permanent | Full Time – 37 hours per week
