Job Description:

Japanese IT company is recruiting a Japanese speaking IT Support Engineer to join its infrastructure support team in London. In this role, you will provide first‑level technical support to end users, ensuring timely resolution of IT‑related issues and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The position requires at least 3 years of IT engineer experience and may involve business travel within London and to other overseas locations.

Eligibility & Work Conditions

Eligible applicants may hold the following visas: permanent residence, spouse, partner, Youth Mobility Scheme, or graduate visa. Work type is hybrid: two days in office and three days remote, with onsite visits as required. Working hours are 09:00–17:00 Monday to Friday, with a shift of 07:00–15:00 for specific clients. Salary ranges from £28 k to £33 k, depending on experience. The position is permanent and full‑time, starting as soon as possible, located in London.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first‑line support for hardware, software, and network‑related issues.
  • Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, and ticketing system.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems following standard procedures.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to second‑ or third‑level support teams.
  • Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions accurately.

Ideal Candidate

  • At least 3 years of IT engineer experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and common business applications.
  • Business fluency in both English and Japanese.
  • Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem‑solving mindset.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) or operating network equipment advantageous.
