Chartered Geotechnical Engineer – Renewables Infrastructure

What You’ll Be Doing
As the technical lead for geotechnical engineering, you’ll play a key role in managing ground‑related risks and delivering practical, buildable solutions across projects from early feasibility through to construction.
- Leading ground investigation strategies, procurement, and interpretation
- Producing and reviewing geotechnical designs, reports, and specifications (Eurocode 7, BS standards)
- Managing geotechnical risk across the full project lifecycle
- Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical oversight
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
- Supporting bids, proposals, and commercial discussions
- Promoting safe, sustainable, and innovative engineering practices
- Embedding ESG principles into project delivery and decision‑making
What We’re Looking For
- Chartered status (CGeol or CEng) preferred
- Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Engineering Geology is highly desirable
- Strong experience in ground investigation, lab testing, and geotechnical analysis tools
- A track record of delivering projects across multiple sectors
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts
- Willingness to travel to sites and occasional office locations
- Full UK driving licence due to site travel
Nice to Have
- Experience in solar PV, structural steel, or modular construction
- Exposure to innovation programmes, product development, or ESG frameworks
