Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled radiographer to join the rotational radiography team in Neuroradiology at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. This role offers the opportunity to enhance skills in cross‑sectional imaging within a specialised hospital environment. The successful candidate will adopt a patient‑centred approach, communicate effectively, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including undergraduates, trainee radiologists, surgeons, and junior radiographers.
Responsibilities
- Participate in extended working hours, weekends, and out–of–hours services.
- Liaise with other modalities to maximise room utilisation and prioritise patients, ensuring all data inputs on PACS and EHRS are accurately recorded.
- Maintain the safety of patients, staff, and visitors to the Neuroradiology Department.
- Deliver a high standard of patient care and participate in monitoring and improvement of standards.
- Lead and participate in departmental and divisional activities such as Health and Safety, Audit, Research, Clinical Governance, and investigation of adverse incidents and complaints.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and provide teaching to support professional development.
- Work across interventional, 3T and 1.5T MRI, CT, interventional angiography, plain film, and the 24/7 mechanical thrombectomy service.
