Sharp Consultancy is delighted to be working in partnership with an award‑winning Chartered Accountancy firm based in Doncaster to recruit an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior. The Audit & Accounts Semi Senior role has been created to support continued growth and offers genuine development for someone earlier in their practice career. You'll be given exposure to a broad mix of audit and accounts work, while being supported by experienced seniors and managers who can offer excellent mentorship and guidance.

This opportunity would suit someone actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA) with a background in practice. Whether your experience is more audit‑leaning or accounts‑focused, there is flexibility to shape the role around your strengths – not something you see every day! What's on offer

• Salary between £35,000 - £40,000

Duties and responsibilities

• Support the preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
• Assist with audit assignments from planning through to completion, with guidance from senior team members
• Work across a varied portfolio of local clients, gaining exposure to different sectors and business sizes
• Assist in the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
• Carry out accounts and audit testing work in line with firm procedures
• Support and liaise with clients to resolve routine queries

Person Specification

• ACA / ACCA Studier or Qualified by Experience
• Strong Accountancy Practice Background
• Mixed, Audit or Accounts experience within practice

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.
