Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality mental health nursing care in line with best practice and clinical guidelines.
- Conduct clinical assessments, risk assessments, and care planning for individuals with mental health needs.
- Support and monitor medication management and clinical interventions where required.
- Apply de‑escalation and therapeutic communication techniques to manage challenging behaviours safely.
- Maintain accurate digital clinical records, care plans, and incident reports.
- Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) to ensure positive outcomes for service users.
- Promote recovery, independence, and emotional wellbeing through person‑centred care approaches.
Qualifications
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification.
- Active NMC registration.
- Minimum 12 months’ experience supporting young adults and children with mental health needs.
- Experience working with challenging behaviours and safeguarding vulnerable individuals.
- Confidence using digital care systems and clinical documentation.
- Excellent communication skills with a calm, compassionate approach.
- Current PMVA certificate.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Desirable: Experience in community‑based mental health services.
- Desirable: Additional training in trauma‑informed care or behavioural support and confidence in using digital care planning systems.
- Desirable: NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Adults or Children).
- Desirable: Current First Aid training.
