Are you a compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) looking for a rewarding role supporting young adults and children with mental health needs in the community? We are a leading care provider seeking a skilled RMN to deliver high-quality, person‑centred clinical care to individuals with complex mental health conditions and challenging behaviours. This role is ideal for a nurse who is empathetic, resilient, and passionate about helping individuals improve their wellbeing while supporting them to live safely and independently in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality mental health nursing care in line with best practice and clinical guidelines.
  • Conduct clinical assessments, risk assessments, and care planning for individuals with mental health needs.
  • Support and monitor medication management and clinical interventions where required.
  • Apply de‑escalation and therapeutic communication techniques to manage challenging behaviours safely.
  • Maintain accurate digital clinical records, care plans, and incident reports.
  • Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) to ensure positive outcomes for service users.
  • Promote recovery, independence, and emotional wellbeing through person‑centred care approaches.

Qualifications

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification.
  • Active NMC registration.
  • Minimum 12 months’ experience supporting young adults and children with mental health needs.
  • Experience working with challenging behaviours and safeguarding vulnerable individuals.
  • Confidence using digital care systems and clinical documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills with a calm, compassionate approach.
  • Current PMVA certificate.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Desirable: Experience in community‑based mental health services.
  • Desirable: Additional training in trauma‑informed care or behavioural support and confidence in using digital care planning systems.
  • Desirable: NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Adults or Children).
  • Desirable: Current First Aid training.
