Bank Physiotherapist / Bank Occupational Therapist | Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and flexible senior physiotherapists and occupational therapists with past community experience to join our community bank.

Overview

You will have opportunity to work in friendly, supportive, dynamic teams across our 5 care communities (Winsford, Crewe, Northwich, Nantwich, and SMASH (Sandbach, Middlewich, Alsager, Scholar Green & Haslington)). Working on the Bank means you are likely to work in many different areas and with different teams, developing the scope of your existing NHS healthcare experience. Please note that Bank work is a casual agreement with no guaranteed hours and does not meet UKVI sponsorship requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent, unplanned and planned response to assessment and rehabilitation needs of patients within their own homes.
• Contribute to early discharge from hospital where possible and reduce hospital admissions.
• Manage a varied caseload and demonstrate knowledge, experience and relevant clinical skills with patients with complex/long-term conditions.
• Work as a member of an integrated multidisciplinary team alongside District Nurses, Advance Nurse Practitioners, Complex Case Practitioners, MacMillan Nurses.
• Perform associated administrative duties; be computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft packages and accurate keyboard skills.
• Utilise digital technology to support remote working; have access to a laptop and mobile phone.

Requirements

• Senior physiotherapist or occupational therapist with experience in community settings.
• Valid car driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexibly within a casual, bank-based arrangement.
