Duties
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of a high‑volume automotive workshop
- Allocate work efficiently to a team of skilled technicians and mechanics
- Maximise productivity through effective scheduling and workflow management
- Monitor job times to enhance workshop efficiency and profitability
- Maintain high standards of repair quality and workmanship
- Lead, motivate, and develop workshop staff
- Manage stock control, reduce waste, and control costs effectively
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations
- Liaise with office staff to ensure smooth workshop operations
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Workshop Manager or Supervisor within the motor trade
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and servicing
- Demonstrable track record of managing and motivating a team effectively
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Proactive attitude with a solutions‑focused approach
- Ability to work flexibly across different shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights)
