Permanent Position

An established manufacturing operation is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team. This is a key role supporting high‑volume production across a large‑scale manufacturing facility.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing effective reactive and preventative maintenance to ensure machinery, ancillary equipment, and site infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responding promptly to machinery breakdowns to minimise production downtime
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults
  • Maintaining and servicing machinery and equipment
  • Supporting tool changes and ensuring correct operation
  • Maintaining ancillary equipment such as dryers, conveyors, chillers, compressors, and robots
  • Completing maintenance logs, reports, and documentation accurately
  • Working closely with production teams to resolve recurring issues
  • Supporting continuous improvement and root cause analysis initiatives

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
  • Strong fault‑finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems
  • A proactive, safety‑focused approach
  • The ability to work effectively within a 24/7 production environment
  • Engineering qualifications are advantageous but not essential, depending on experience

Shift Pattern & Package:

Shift Pattern: Continental shifts – 3 days on / 3 days off

Hours: 07:00 – 19:00

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Overtime: Paid at time and a half after 39 hours

Overtime Availability: Regular opportunities
