REGIONAL SALES EXECUTIVE – TIMBER (NORTH / WEST ENGLAND)
Our client, one of the UK’s leading timber merchants, is seeking a Regional Sales Executive to strengthen existing accounts and pursue new business across North and West England.
As a Regional Sales Executive you will be field‑based, responsible for full account management of key accounts, and actively sourcing and winning new business. You will liaise with suppliers, negotiate prices and represent the company’s image while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, manage and maintain relationships with current and target customers.
- Arrange and attend client and customer meetings.
- Proactively identify opportunities to expand the client base.
- Provide comprehensive updates on the company, products and services to clients.
- Attend industry events as required.
- Stay updated on current market and industry trends, competitor activity and customer strategies.
- Prepare quotes and costings for customer requirements.
- Ensure high customer service standards are maintained at all times.
- Perform any other ad‑hoc duties that may arise.
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience in construction products sales, ideally timber.
- Customer service experience in a sales environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both telephone and face‑to‑face.
- Outstanding listening and verbal skills, with the ability to identify customer needs.
- Ability to thrive in a sales‑driven environment.
- Highly motivated and driven to achieve sales targets.
- Strong IT skills.
