We are inviting applications for the Band 3 Radiology Booking Clerk position. This role is 37.5 hours per week, permanent, based in Unipart House, Cowley; John Radcliffe Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Update patient details on CRIS/EPR and other Trust and departmental record systems.
- Ensure patients that have not attended or cancelled appointments are flagged and rebooked promptly.
- Request and coordinate patient notes from other hospitals and organisations where required.
- Act upon queries from referrers, patients and other relevant parties in liaison with clinical staff, providing reassurance and support.
- Demonstrate high levels of customer care and act as an ambassador for customer care within the Trust.
- Provide a robust administration function that underpins the delivery of a high‑quality service and maintain effective working relationships with clinical, nursing and administrative staff.
- Respond to communication and queries, including email, face‑to‑face and telephone, in a timely manner.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Be flexible in your approach to work, including covering other roles and varying working hours to ensure minimum cover during core hours 08:00–20:00.
- Use Trust IT systems (e.g., EPR, CRIS) to register patients, make appointments, ensure details are correct, and check in/out outpatient appointments.
- Assist with the processing of new referrals.
- Contribute to ongoing and future service development projects supporting continuous improvement.
- Attend departmental meetings and training as required to stay up‑to‑date with procedures.
- Act in a manner aligned to our Trust Values and consistently demonstrate behaviours that deliver compassionate excellence.
- Complete any other duties appropriate to the role.
