This is a full-time, permanent role responsible for overseeing the organisations Management Information System, supporting data processes, and leading timetable management.
The successful candidate will manage and develop core systems, produce reports and analysis, maintain data integrity, and support leadership teams with timely, accurate information. The role also includes responsibility for timetable updates, reporting cycles, statutory returns, assessment data, and ongoing system improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the MIS and supporting its day-to-day operation
- Leading the annual timetable setup and in-year timetable changes
- Producing reports and analysis on attainment, progress, attendance, behaviour, and exams
- Supporting staff and academic teams with data, reporting, and system configuration
- Maintaining staff and student records and ensuring data accuracy
- Managing statutory and external data returns
- Developing reporting through SQL Server Reporting Services and Power BI
- Supporting assessment and target-setting data, including CEM and other baseline data systems
- Working with internal teams to improve data systems and processes
- Troubleshooting MIS issues and supporting ongoing development and training
Skills and experience required:
- Strong administration and data management experience
- Experience using an MIS or transferable systems experience
- Advanced IT skills, particularly Excel and SQL
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential data
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of iSAMS
