Audio Visual Project Manager

The Role
As an AV Project Manager at Hutchi, you’ll play a central role in delivering technically complex projects across the UK. You’ll bring structure, clarity, and confidence to every stage of delivery — from pre‑start through installation and commissioning to final handover. This is a hands‑on role, working closely with internal teams, clients, and third‑party stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, to specification, and are commercially sound.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working closely with Technical Sales to fully understand project scope, drawings, specifications, and constraints.
- Managing customer communication, including attendance at pre‑start, progress, and handover meetings.
- Owning installation programmes and coordinating scheduling of resources to meet key milestones.
- Coordinating project teams, providing clear direction and support to ensure high‑quality delivery.
- Arranging procurement and deliveries, managing variations, and maintaining overall project profitability.
- Tracking financial performance and maintaining commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Producing, implementing, and enforcing RAMS and maintaining high health & safety standards on site.
- Coordinating with third‑party suppliers, client IT teams, and other contractors as required.
What You’ll Bring
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving ability and confident, pragmatic decision‑making.
- Proven experience delivering AV projects (experience with access control, IT infrastructure, or feature lighting is an advantage).
- Project management experience within AV, ideally in a fit‑out or construction‑led environment.
- A collaborative approach, working effectively with Sales, Design, Installation, and Service teams.
- Solid commercial awareness, including cost control and variation management.
- Resilience, adaptability, and a customer‑focused mindset.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
- Project management certification is beneficial but not essential.
