About the Northern Powergrid Foundation
The Northern Powergrid Foundation is an independent grant‑giving charity that helps communities turn energy challenges into opportunities. To date, it has funded 120 organisations, providing £1.8 million to enhance community energy resilience, and is now embarking on a new three‑year strategy to broaden its impact across the region.
Role Overview
The Operations Manager will partner with the Head of Foundation to deliver the business plan, coordinate and support the Trustees, and lead the development of existing and new grant programmes to maximise community impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of new and existing grant programmes.
- Co‑ordinate and support the Foundation’s Trustees.
- Manage funding processes from application assessment to social impact assessment and reporting.
- Engage and build relationships with beneficiaries and regional funders.
- Develop and execute a communications plan that reaches communities in need.
- Lead the fundraising strategy to enhance organisational sustainability.
- Support the Head of Foundation in delivering the business plan.
Qualifications
- Experience in funding or programme management.
- Demonstrable experience managing funding processes, including assessment, impact assessment and reporting.
