The Corporate & Regulatory Change Team drives and delivers corporate transformational strategies as well as Group Regulatory Change and Risk Commitments. We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager who can both lead end-to-end, stand-alone projects and work as part of a programme or change portfolio. You’ll be confident managing delivery across multiple teams and stakeholders with different specialisms, helping to shape and execute a high-quality portfolio of change.
About Schroders
We're a global investment manager. We help institutions, intermediaries and individuals around the world invest money to meet their goals, fulfil their ambitions, and prepare for the future.
We have around 6,000 people on six continents. And we've been around for over 200 years but keep adapting as society and technology changes. What doesn't change is our commitment to helping our clients, and society, prosper.
What you’ll do
The projects you lead will, in partnership with business stakeholders, enable more flexible and efficient services, ensure compliance to regulations and risk reduction, improve use of technology, onboard new business solutions, realise target operating models and deliver leaner processes.
You will be able to interact with internal and external parties, be a credible change professional and engender trust in both the change process and Schroders as an exemplary partner for our clients.
We’re looking for someone with an excellent track record of delivering large or complex projects across Business and Technology disciplines, either as individual projects or within a programme of work. It is expected that the Project Manager will manage business analysts and potentially Subject Matter Experts via a matrix management approach.

- Consider the impacts to the whole of Schroders, as well as our clients where necessary, when planning and managing delivery.
- Co-ordinate resources as allocated within matrix management frameworks aligned to the business pillars from where they will be provided.
- Effective project planning, including the construction, presentation and communication of roadmaps and detailed plans to required audiences.
- Manage communication of progress and changes to the programme or portfolio team as well as the wider organisation when required.
- Either management of financial diligence & reporting of the projects budget or contribute to the programme / portfolio budgeting framework to secure delivery within budget.
- Pro‑active and effective risk and issue management, escalating through agreed channels when appropriate.
- Understand and manage, where appropriate, the discipline and cadence of business readiness activities.
- Create, own and manage project artefacts as necessary.
- Understand organisational challenges as these impact projects under management and agree strategies to address these.

- Practice and promote the use of agreed standards for change, meeting all minimum standards, whilst adapting agreed methodologies, templates and artefacts to effectively support a range of scenarios.
- Where possible and appropriate, support the development of change expertise across Schroders through involvement in non‑core activities.
- Provide change leadership in a range of scenarios and circumstances.
- Contribute pro‑actively to the evolution of a collaborative team culture.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Experience of delivering complex regulatory / business projects.
- Understanding of a range of delivery methodologies.
- Knowledge of a range of change tools and techniques and the demonstration of their appropriate usage.
- Ability to manage and motivate diverse sets of teams across multiple functions.

- Experience and knowledge of asset management / financial services
- Basic professional qualifications relating to the asset management industry and project management practises.
