Registrations & Allocation Team Leader

Situated in North Worcestershire, Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council share services. This is a new role for Redditch Borough Council combining housing application registrations together with the allocation and letting of social housing to create a new team. It is an exciting opportunity for someone with senior housing registration experience who is confident in leading a new team in the management of the processes from the registration of applications through to advertisement and the allocation of accommodation.

Key Requirements

• Professionally and compliantly deliver the Council's Housing Register and the Choice Based Letting system for the Borough in accordance with the Allocations Policy, associated legislation & regulatory frameworks.
• Be responsible for the day to day leadership and line management of the Registration and Allocation Advisors.
• Provide outstanding customer service to all customers.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in assessing housing applications and working with choice based letting systems.
• Previous experience in a senior or management role.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Confident in communication with applicants, internal teams, external partners and elected members.
