Business Development Manager | Packaging | Field-Based (South West & South Wales)

We’re looking for a proven new business hunter to drive growth across our packaging solutions business in Bristol, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset and South Wales.

If you understand corrugated, transit packaging, or consumables, and know how to win business in this space, this is a strong opportunity to make an impact.

The role:

This is a pure new business position. You’ll be out in the market identifying opportunities, getting in front of customers, and converting them into profitable, long-term accounts.

• Target and win new customers across your territory
• Build pipeline through outbound activity (calls, LinkedIn, networking)
• Understand customer packaging requirements and operational challenges
• Present tailored, commercial solutions (not just price)
• Own the full sales cycle — from first contact to first order
• Set accounts up for long-term, sustainable growth

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in packaging, distribution, or a related B2B sector
• Strong track record of winning new business
• Commercially sharp — focused on margin, not just volume
• Confident dealing with procurement, ops and decision‑makers
• Relentless, organised, and driven to build a pipeline and close deals
