About Xigen

Xigen is an award-winning UK eCommerce agency with over two decades of experience under its belt in creating high performance websites for a diverse client base of well-known global brands, multinational blue‑chips, enterprise and SMB clients across multiple sectors.

Who We Are

Our motto is ‘normal gets you nowhere’, and it reflects our collaborative spirit. Our in‑house, multi‑functional teams are made up of creative and technical minds who love what they do and apply their skills with imagination and intuition. Diversity is part of our DNA; whether channelling inner nerd, flaunting a flare for design or displaying high organisational skills, everyone works together to create, develop and support high‑performance eCommerce websites that enable our clients’ businesses to thrive.

Our work

The work we do varies quite a lot in type and scope. Here are three examples to give you an idea:

  • Optimising website performance, back and front‑end, and conversion rate optimisation for clients such as Vicon, a motion‑capture specialist, which has increased audience engagement.
  • Helping niche retailers grow their eCommerce, as with Jacksons Art Supplies, by creating new eCommerce capability and implementing design transformation, which has seen a significant uptick in their business.
  • Delivering major projects, such as a large‑scale migration for Epson Europe, including 15,000 pages moved to their new website.

Your Responsibilities

As our Digital Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering a diverse range of digital projects – big, small, and everything in between. You will be the key link between our clients and internal teams, ensuring projects run smoothly, on time, on budget and to the highest quality standards.

  • Managing multiple digital projects, from website builds to ongoing support retainers.
  • Creating detailed project timelines, tracking progress, and providing regular updates.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients, managing expectations and keeping them informed.
  • Translating client requirements into clear briefs for developers, designers and quality assurance teams.
  • Keeping project plans, reports and task boards up to date.
  • Identifying and resolving project issues or blockers efficiently.
  • Monitoring budgets and ensuring projects are delivered within scope.
  • Ensuring all deliverables meet client requirements and quality standards.

Your profile

Key skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience delivering website design and development projects on time and to specification.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and maintain excellent organisation.
  • A results‑driven, delivery‑focused mindset, with a passion for providing exceptional client service.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage with designers and developers at all levels, ensuring smooth project execution.

Bonus skills and experience include

  • Solid technical knowledge of Magento/Adobe Commerce and WooCommerce.
  • Experience managing complex site migrations, particularly those involving large product datasets.
  • Background in web development, with an understanding of technical workflows and challenges.

What We Offer

We are committed to creating a positive environment for all our people. You’ll be part of a fun and collaborative team and work in an environment where you are supported and developed. Here’s a snapshot of the benefits:

  • Salary of £35,000 – £40,000 for the right candidate.
  • 32 days holiday (including public holidays and a Christmas shutdown).
  • Birthday off – an additional day off on your birthday.
  • Flexible working hours – core hours 10am‑12pm & 2pm‑4pm, with the rest of the day at your discretion.
  • Hybrid working options – choose where you work, at the studio or remotely, or any combination.
  • Professional development days – extra time to hone your skills and acquire new ones.
  • Hot and cold drinks, plenty of fresh fruit and cakes available at the studio.

Quarterly KPI bonus

We give everyone a generous quarterly performance‑based bonus that rewards success.

  • Everybody’s equal – we treat everyone fairly and with respect.

Wellbeing

We take mental health seriously. We have trained mental health first‑aiders on hand to listen and support anyone who needs to talk about how they feel, about work, in their lives more generally, or about anything that’s causing worry or anxiety.
