General Operative

The Best Connection are recruiting for General Operatives available for an immediate start in the Chichester area! This role is ideal for anyone looking for a role to keep them busy up to Christmas time.

We’re looking for reliable and hardworking General Operatives to join our friendly team. The role involves a variety of hands‑on tasks in our packhall and dispatch areas, ensuring plants are labelled, packed, and ready for delivery to customers. Candidates will need to note that the role will be working in a greenhouse environment so it can be chilly coming up to the winter months.

Key Responsibilities

• Working in the packhall to prepare orders accurately and efficiently
• Labelling and scanning
• Moving trolleys and stock around the site safely and efficiently
• Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries
• Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
• Supporting other duties as required

Requirements

• A good team player with a positive, “can-do” attitude
• Comfortable with physical work and working on your feet
• Able to work efficiently in a busy, fast‑paced environment
• Good attention to detail

Hours

7am to 4pm – must be flexible with finish time

Pay

12.21 per hour
