Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Responsible for technical specialized repairs on mission- critical datacenter systems requiring sophisticated analytical problem solving techniques to identify cause
Reporting
- Reviews specialized contractual reports and activities
Site Maintenance
- Oversees the site maintenance and up keep of Data Center infrastructures according to Equinix global standards
Assess Adherence to Policy
- Ensures all repairs performed on all Data Center infrastructure are according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and best practices
Complexity & Problem Solving
- Aids in root cause analysis and in repair of specialized failed critical components
- Devises solutions based on limited information and precedent and adapts existing approaches to resolve issues
- Uses evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select right course of action Work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points
Collaboration & Interaction
- Liaises with design stakeholders on design changes
- Enhances relationships and networks with senior internal/external partners who are not familiar with the subject matter often requiring persuasion
- Adapts style to differing audiences and often advises others on difficult matters
Design
- Validates design criteria for new principal power installations (e.g. single power source)
Qualifications
Typical Degree & Years of Experience
- Typically requires a proven years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or proven years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
