Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Risk Detection & Mitigation: Audit existing platform controls and policies to proactively identify governance gaps and implement product measures to mitigate regulatory, safety, and operational risks.
• Translate regulatory requirements into effective product and platform controls: Receiving and interpreting requests from regulators, including government recalls, and working with internal teams to action them in platform controls.
• Strategic Planning: Define project scopes, objectives, and success metrics, ensuring alignment with broader organizational strategies.
• Project Design: Designing projects involving multiple team members and XFN team members, managing resources effectively, ensuring project teams are supported to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Cross‑Function Collaboration: Establish effective collaboration with technical teams to develop the best listing governance and product compliance solutions for our business.
• Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes, tools, and workflows.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on project progress, using data‑driven insights to inform decision‑making and optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant field.
• Extensive risk management experience including 5+ years of consumer product compliance/safety related risk management experience.
• Experience with EU and UK consumer product safety issues in categories such as consumer electronics, beauty and personal care, toys, or baby products.
• Self‑starter with the ability to autonomously define problems, implement solutions and manage strategies, for topics that may not be well‑defined and require new and innovative technologies.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align senior leaders.
• Exceptional problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage ambiguity.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct working experience in driving EU‑specific product compliance, product safety, and illegal product strategy.
• Proficient in analysis capability and tools (Excel, Access, SQL) for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience working on government recalls in Europe.
• Curiosity and ability to learn new technology and subject matter areas.
