A high-performing and forward-thinking secondary school is seeking an ambitious Head of Engineering to lead and develop their growing department from September.
Working on behalf of the school as a specialist education consultant, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineering or Design & Technology teacher ready to step into leadership, or an established Head of Department looking for a new challenge in a supportive and well-resourced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Engineering/DT department across KS3-KS5
- Drive curriculum development with a focus on practical, industry-relevant skills
- Monitor teaching and learning to ensure high standards and strong outcomes
- Support and develop staff within the department
- Contribute to whole-school improvement and strategy
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching Engineering or DT
- Strong leadership or middle leadership experience
- Passion for innovation, practical learning, and student achievement
- Must live in the North Oxfordshire district
