Finance Business Partner

Job Summary

This role is for a qualified accountant who will act as a finance business partner within a dynamic healthcare organisation. The successful candidate will support corporate and primary care directorates and lead finance for a portfolio of secondary healthcare contracts.

Job Responsibilities

The Finance Business Partner (FBP) will:

• Act as a strategic partner, providing high quality financial advice and robust strategic management to senior managers.
• Lead and deliver on the organisational financial position, including implementation of the 3‑year financial plan.
• Provide leadership, strategic and professional management across the Health Board, supporting senior finance executives and managers.

Qualifications

• CCAB qualified.
• Further specialist training and experience, e.g. NHS Finance Academy.
• Master’s degree level education or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Evidence of planning and implementing long‑term strategy.
• Evidence of continual professional development.

Experience

• Significant experience at a strategic senior level within a large, complex organisation.
• Experience delivering challenging financial plans including large cost‑reduction/savings programmes.
• Understanding of the political agenda for health and social care.
• Experience planning and implementing long‑term strategy.
• Evidence of successfully introducing service improvement or managing significant organisational change in a complex environment.
• Demonstrable success in building, leading, motivating, managing and developing teams and working with representatives and trade unions/professional organisations.

Desirable

• Experience working across various public and private organisations.
• Experience working within organisations at a strategic/board level, leading teams within the financial sector.
• Evidence of developing and interpreting policies from national guidance.

Hybrid Working Model

Each team member works from the office in Bronllys at least two days per week.
