Responsibilities
- Work closely with Team Leaders and Theatre Coordinator to establish a good working environment and make efficient use of staff, supplies, and services.
- Take personal responsibility for continuous professional development and safe work practice.
- Demonstrate leadership and supervision of others in all aspects of the caring process.
- Deputise and take charge of the designated area in the absence of team leaders, maintaining high standards of practice and acting as a role model for the team.
- Provide specialist surgical scrub and circulating clinical support.
- Participate in effective clinical leadership and management of the team, supporting and developing junior and new team members.
- Commit to delivering a high‑quality service ensuring patient care, safety, and experience is the best it can be.
Qualifications
- Experienced Registered Nurse or ODP (Operating Department Practitioner) with a strong interest in management and leadership.
- Demonstrated high organisational skills including time management and the ability to prioritise and organise clinical and managerial responsibilities.
- Ability to confidently act as an excellent role model and leader, with the potential to act up in the absence of senior staff.
