Job Description:

We are looking for a maintenance technician for our Legacy Business department at Kempston (regular travel is required primarily accros Heathrow Airport). The technician will work on electrical maintenance and repair services for airport equipmen t : battery systems.

·Working on electrical panels, airport-related electrical systems, and battery-powered machinery, ensuring their optimal performance and safety.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical faults and malfunctions in industrial equipment and battery-powered machinery.
• Install, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems, including control panels, wiring, and circuit boards.

·Disassemble components, inspect for quality factors, and reassemble to OEM specifications.

·Perform Preventative Maintenance. Meticulously document all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions utilizing computer-based Maintenance Information Systems (MIS).

·Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiencies and reduce downtime.

·Ensure proper safety while operating equipment on-site. Implementing and enforcing quality control and safety measures during repair and maintenance activities.

·Professional interaction and coordinating with internal departments and external customers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance, including electrical panel (distribution board) work and battery maintenance.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and wiring installations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical drawings, and blueprints.
• Experience with troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and repairs
• Certification in industrial electrical work or equivalent qualifications.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
