Repairs Officer – Surrey | Interim Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Repairs Officer to join a busy Housing Assets team on a temporary basis in Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering a high-quality responsive repairs service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for day‑to‑day repairs enquiries
  • Raise and manage repair requests with contractors
  • Oversee shared inboxes, including new requests, follow‑ups, and stakeholder enquiries
  • Assist with reactive repairs queries and provide support to the Repairs Manager
  • Take ownership of repairs complaints, managing cases from initial enquiry through to resolution
  • Provide cover for the Repairs Manager when required

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience within housing repairs
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Experience working with contractors and managing service performance
  • Ability to handle complaints and stakeholder enquiries effectively
  • Confident communicator with a customer‑focused approach
  • Experience within a local authority or housing association (desirable)
