System Engineer - Hybrid with at least 1 day a week in our Canning Town office - E16

Role Profile

We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join our expanding Rail Systems Engineering team. You'll be working in a part of Telent that is dedicated to maintaining the UK wide rail network. Our customers include Transport for London, Network Rail and a host of Train Operating Companies. Reporting to the Lead System Engineer, the system engineer will be responsible for delivering project upgrade works mainly across Transport for London and Network rail infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Acting as the systems engineer for customer's project, you will be responsible for undertaking all technical aspects of projects with a focus on cyber security. This will include managing the production of design packages for minor works and major works for new and existing system upgrades, ensuring all works are carried out to the correct standard, working with the project management teams to scope out new works.

Extensive knowledge across the communications systems will be essential to be able to hit the ground running. Desirable but not essential is experience working across the rail sector.
