After a period of sustained growth, we are currently seeking Audit Seniors to join our dynamic audit team.
Job Purpose
Our Audit Seniors lead the planning, execution and completion of audit assignments for a variety of clients across different sectors. They support the Audit Manager/Director/Partner in ensuring audits are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, while also contributing to the development of less experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform the planning and execution of audits for a portfolio of clients.
- Perform audit procedures on financial statements, prepared in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Conduct fieldwork, including testing of internal controls and substantive testing on significant risk areas.
- Apply AI and technology tools in carrying out interrogation procedures on data populations, perform data analytics procedures.
- Prepare working papers and organize audit files in accordance with firm standards.
- Liaise with clients to obtain required information and provide updates on audit progress.
- Support the Manager/Director/Partner in preparing audit reports, audit findings letters, management letters and the completion sections of the audit file.
- Stay informed on developments in accounting and auditing standards relevant to our client base.
- Undertake continuous professional development through training sessions and workshops provided by our in-house specialists.
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to junior staff members.
Requirements
- Previous experience in audit within an accounting practice is desirable (2.5 to 3 years).
- Understanding of UK accounting standards, auditing standards, and regulations.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
