Responsibilities
- Embed psychological assessment and interventions within the EIP service.
- Support the team in developing psychologically informed formulation to build an understanding of the people who access our services and determine the appropriate treatment pathways.
- Provide clinical leadership for the team and enable the implementation of psychologically informed pathways of care and treatment.
- Support a formulation based approach to risk assessment and management that enables considered decision making and responses to individual need.
- Deliver a specialised psychological resource for adults with First Episode Psychosis.
- Support coproduced service development within the team and support research, audit and activities within your interests, expertise and the needs of the service.
- Provide clinical supervision for Trainee psychologists and Psychological Intervention Facilitators.
- Hold a dedicated caseload of individuals allocated from the countywide team to provide psychological interventions.
- Deliver CBTp interventions in line with NICE guidelines and support KPI targets.
- Work from the main base with expected clinic days in other bases due to the countywide nature of the service.
Qualifications
- Practitioner Psychologist with competence and experience relevant to an 8a position, or a Psychologist who meets the qualification, training and competency for a Band 7 post and can achieve the 8a position through a preceptorship programme.
- CBTp qualification is required; if not held, completion of a CBTp course from Autumn 2026 is expected.
- Newly qualified applicants will be considered for a developmental Band 7 to 8a role over a defined period in line with the Trust preceptorship policy.
