What you will do:
- Manage a complex caseload of children and families, including Child Protection (Section 47) and Child in Need (Section 17) cases.
- Undertake and oversee advanced statutory assessments and risk evaluations, ensuring timely and effective care planning.
- Provide practice leadership, mentoring, and support to social workers, promoting reflective and evidence-based practice.
- Lead and contribute to multi-agency safeguarding processes, including strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and core group meetings.
Qualifications:
- Hold a Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) with evidence of continued professional development.
- Post-qualifying training (desirable).
Registration & Compliance:
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and Public Law Outline (PLO).
- Enhanced DBS clearance is required.
